grit...

Reading about the ultimate drama of life,
and it's no point just reading it,
if you do not enter into the emotions of it all...
So here goes...this was Jesus, all Jesus...

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Mathew 5:4

“Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.”
Matt 26:21

Then Jesus told them,
“This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:
 “‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
 Matt 26:31

"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,
Stay here and keep watch with me.”
Matthew 26:38

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matt 26:41

The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.”
Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.
Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.
Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him.
 Matt 26:48-50

Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing
Luke 23:34

“Praise be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we ourselves have received from God”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath,
for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
Romans 12:19
