transience...

Been abit bogged down by so many things happening...and pardon the morose nature of this post...but yeah...i need to let it out abit. Perhaps in a lil bit more abstract a manner...

Is this the end of an era?
or the start of something better?

I heard about Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter, tragically killed several months back by a careless accident. And then today, i heard that Delirious was disbanding at the end of 09...

Gosh...these are the 2 influences that have helped me alot in this journey of truly knowing God in worship in a real, deep & intensely personal manner. Some people like bands or musicians cuz of the way they sound, or the way they portray themselves. Me...i've always looked for something deeper, the way that they worship, the way they show their heart. It's an intangible, but i've always been able to tell when people are truly worshipping, or if they are putting on a front. And i think these 2 are GREAT examples of what it means to be truly in worship, truly exuberant, yet...wholly surrendered to God.

The emotions i felt on hearing the sad news above, just mirrors the condition of my soul at this moment in time i guess...cuz of myriad reasons, none mentionable here, but the condition and the temporary nature of transient emotions, shall not get me down.

I'm here, choosing to let the emotions go, choosing to trust that the Lord has a wonderful, efficacious plan, and i look on in expectation. There is a wonderful exhilaration...to be able to hold on to something, Someone...when the tough things really start falling...to sense a trust, a blessed assurance that things will turn out just as He plans, come what may...

I give my testimony tomorrow at breakthrough prayer...and yes, it has been a breakthrough, thank you for never giving up on me Lord...Thank you

I hold on to You, Lord Jesus, my Majesty...whatever may come...
